1. GENERAL

1.1 These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all orders and purchases made from Genuine Motors (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 By placing an order on our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.3 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Changes will apply to future orders.

2. CONTRACT FORMATION

2.1 A contract between you and us is formed only when:

  • Your order has been placed, and
  • Payment has been successfully processed, and
  • You receive an order confirmation email

2.2 An order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance until payment has been received and processed.

2.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Product availability
  • Errors in pricing or product information
  • Suspicious or fraudulent activity

If your order is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

3. PRODUCTS, DESCRIPTIONS & PRICING

3.1 All product descriptions, specifications, and prices are shown on our website at the time of purchase.

3.2 We make every effort to ensure accuracy; however:

  • Images are for illustrative purposes only
  • Colours, specifications, and compatibility may vary

3.3 If a pricing or product error occurs:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible
  • You may choose to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order

3.4 All products are subject to availability.

4. PAYMENT

4.1 Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase using the payment methods available at checkout.

4.2 Orders will not be processed or dispatched until payment has been received in cleared funds.

4.3 You must not withhold payment unless required by law.

5. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

5.1 Orders will be delivered to the address provided at checkout.

5.2 Shipping availability, methods, costs, and delivery estimates are displayed at checkout and may vary depending on:

  • Destination
  • Parcel weight and dimensions
  • Courier availability

5.6 If a parcel is returned due to failed delivery or incorrect address:

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Return costs may be deducted from your refund

6. RISK & OWNERSHIP

6.1 Goods become your responsibility once they have been delivered.

6.2 Ownership of goods transfers to you only when full payment has been received.

7. RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

7.1 You may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date, subject to our Return & Refund Policy.

7.2 Returned items must be:

  • Unused and uninstalled
  • In original condition and packaging

7.3 Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

7.4 Orders can only be cancelled before dispatch.

7.5 If you refuse delivery or fail to collect your parcel:

  • The order will be returned to us
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Return costs may be deducted

8. FAULTY OR DEFECTIVE GOODS

8.1 If you receive a faulty or damaged item, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

8.2 Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer:

  • Replacement
  • Repair
  • Refund

8.3 This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

9. WARRANTY

9.1 Products may be covered by a limited warranty where applicable.

9.2 Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Incorrect installation
  • Improper use or modification
  • Damage caused by third parties

9.3 Installation should be carried out by qualified professionals where required.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

10.1 Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the goods.

10.2 We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of profits or business
  • Installation costs or damages resulting from improper use

10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

11. PRODUCT USE & DISCLAIMER

11.1 All products must be used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

11.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that:

  • The product is compatible with your vehicle
  • The product is installed and used correctly

11.3 We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Improper or unintended use
  • Legal misuse of products

12. DATA PROTECTION

12.1 We take reasonable measures to protect your personal and payment information.

12.2 However, we are not liable for unauthorised access beyond our control unless caused by our negligence.

13. FORCE MAJEURE

13.1 We are not liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Transport disruptions
  • Government restrictions
  • Strikes or industrial action

14. GOVERNING LAW

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

14.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
